Note: If you would like to exit the menu
without dialling the telephone number,
press the Exit key.
Note: If you have already picked up the
receiver when you press the Redial
key , the telephone number dialled
last is immediately dialled.
Adjusting the Speaking Volume
During a call, you can adjust the volume
according to eight levels. This setting
depends on the current type of call. This
makes it possible to adjust the volume for
receiver, hands-free and headset operation
separately.
1. Change the volume.

Press the plus key to increase the
volume.

Press the minus key to decrease
the volume.
The set volume is shown on the
display.
Muting the Microphone
If you would like to ask someone in the
room a question without the person on the
telephone hearing it, you can turn off the
microphone temporarily.
1. Press the Microphone key .
MUTE is shown on the display.
The person on the other end of the line
can no longer hear you.
2. Press the Microphone key .
The person on the other end of the line
can hear you again.
Switching between Receiver and
Hands-free Operation
If you would like to include other people
present in the room in your telephone
conversation, you can switch from receiver
to hands-free operation.
1. Press the Loudspeaker key .
2. Hang up the receiver.
The telephone is now in hands-free
operation.
3. Pick up the receiver.
The telephone is now in receiver
operation again.
Note: To switch between receiver
operation and hands-free operation,
press the Loudspeaker key during
the telephone call.
Headset Operation
If you have a headset connected to your
telephone, use the Hook key to start
or end a telephone call.
Note: To switch between headset
operation and hands-free operation,
press the Loudspeaker key during
the telephone call.
PBX Functions (Flash Key)
Once you have connected your telephone
to an Auerswald PBX, you can use the
functions on the PBX such as query calling,
call forwarding, etc. as described in the
PBX user manual. For this, you need the
Flash key.
Note: The Flash time on the telephone
must coincide with the Flash time on
the PBX.
