You can also enter the number of the receiving party direct from the phone
book (press
Search
) and select a number from the phone book).
SMS messages sent are automatically entered in the Outbox. The oldest entry
is deleted if there are more than five entries.
Saving an SMS text as a draft
The texts from up to five SMS messages can be saved as drafts. To do this,
press Options > Save Message >

The texts saved can be edited or select

for the following functions:
Send to
Enter the number of the receiving party and
confirm it
Save Message
The edited text is saved with the changes
made
Delete
The entry selected is deleted
Delete All
Confirm the subsequent security prompt to
delete all the drafts
If a call is received when an SMS message is being written, the text is
automatically saved locally on the handset. You can take the call and
continue writing the text or send it later by selecting Write Message".
SMS messages which could not be sent, due to the connection being
interrupted during transmission for example, are assigned an error
status and saved in the Outbox; . Page 81.
Please note that certain service providers charge fees for establishing
a connection to the SMS service centre.
All settings and the saved SMS messages are retained following a
power failure.

Reading messages received
New SMS message are signalled in the displays of the handsets assigned to
the MSN.
The date and time are indicated with each SMS message received (as trans-
ferred by the SMS service centre). The SMS messages are sorted according to
their receipt. New SMS messages are displayed before older ones.
