10.6.4 Message alert signal for recorded messages
As soon as an incoming message or a memo has been recorded, an acoustic signal
is issued once a minute to indicate this. As a result, you know immediately if a
message or memo has been recorded in your absence. The acoustic signal can be
switched on or off.
Press the
O button to switch the message alert signal on or off.
10.6.5 Listening-in to an incoming message
Incoming calls can be lis tened to as they are being recorded on the answering
machine without actually taking the call. The listening-in function can be switc hed on
or off.
Press the
Q button to switc h the listening-in feature on or off.
10.7 Recording, checking or deleting outgoing messages
The answering machine is provided with two pre-recorded outgoing messages. The
preset outgoing message, after which a message can be left, can be replaced by one
of your own. If no other outgoing message is recorded, the standard outgoing
message is played automatically. When the answering machine memory is full, it
automatically reverts to a standard outgoing message explaining to the caller that
messages cannot be left. This outgoing message cannot be altered.
10.7.1 Recording an outgoing message
The outgoing message must not exceed 40 seconds.
1. Press the
R button for 2 seconds.
Note: Follow the vocal instructions.
2. Speak after the acoustic signal.
3. When you have finished your message, press the
P button.
Note: The outgoing message is automatically played back when recording is
finished. If you are not satisfied with the recorded message, repeat steps
1-3. The old outgoing message is overdubbed.
10.7.2 Checking the current outgoing message
1. Press the
R button.
2. The outgoing message is played back in full. Press the
P button to stop
playback.
10.7.3 Deleting your own outgoing message and reverting to the standard
message
After deleting your own outgoing message, the standard message is automatically
reactivated.
1. Press the R button.
2. Press the
N button while your outgoing message is being played back.
