6 Call Number Dis play CLIP
The CLIP function enables you to view the number of a caller when a call is received. If this function is available with
your telephone line, the number of the caller appears in the display when the phone rings. If the caller has
suppressed transmission of their phone number or the phone number cannot be displayed for technical reasons, the
message WITHHELD appears in the display.
If the caller’s number is stored in the phone book, the name appears in the display instead of the phone number. In
addition, any phone number stored in the phone book can be assigned one of the three ringing melodies so that you
know from the melody who is calling.
Incoming calls are stored in a caller lis t. This enables you to see who has called in your absence. A total of 30 calls
can be stored in the list. As soon as the list is full, the oldest phone number is deleted from the list. If new phone
numbers have been stored in the caller list in your absence, the
c icon flashes in the display.
Note: The caller number display function is an optional service offered by telephone network providers. The caller
number appears in the display if the service is offered by your telephone network provider. The display of
the date and time is not transferred by all telephone network providers. Contact your network provider for
further information. Transfer of the phone number or the date and time is not always possible either in some
private branch exchanges.
6.1 Caller list
Proceed as follows to view the phone numbers in the caller list in the display:
1. Press the
E button and the last phone number received appears in the display. If the caller list is empty,
the message EMPTY appears in the display.
2. Use the
D and E buttons to select other phone numbers from the caller list. If no further phone numbers
are available, an acoustic s ignal is issued. Two display icons indicate whether the calls in the caller list
were taken or not.
f = The call was not taken.
g = The call was taken.
Note: Use the Menu button
B to call in information.
- If the phone number is longer than 12 digits, the remaining digits are displayed.
- Displays the phone number when the caller’s name is stored in the phone book.
- Displays the date and time if this data was transferred from the caller.
- If no further data is available, ADD? appears in the display.
-Pressthe
F buttontoreturntothelist.
3. If you want to call back a phone number from the caller list directly, simply press the Call button
C and the
number is dialled immediately.
4. Press the
F button to exit from caller list.
