4 Operation
4.1 Display
In normal operation, the display shows the name of the handset. The preset name can be changed at any time. Refer
to Section 8.7. The display also indicates all the important functions by means of various icons.

On: A call is currently being made.

On: Handsfree mode has been switched on.

On: An external call is currently being made.
Flashing: An external call has been received.

On: An internal call is currently being made.
Flashing: An internal call has been received.

On: You have opened the caller list (CLIP).
Flashing: New calls have been stored in the caller list (CLIP).
f
On: This phone number in the caller list has already been called back.
g
On: This phone number in the c aller list has not been called back.
d
Flashing: Please charge the handset.
On: Displays battery capacity.
Runs through the segments: The handset is being recharged.
h
On: When using the phone book.
j
On: Immediately programming mode has been activated.
k
On: The key lock function is switched on.
l
On: The connection to the base station is good.
Flashing: The handset is out of range of the base station.
m
On: The phone number is in excess of 12 digits.
4.2 Taking a call
When a call is received the handset, base station and alarm unit ring. Due to the telecommunication connection, the
handset rings a little later than the base station. The
e icon flashes in the display. Press the Call button C on the
handset or the alarm unit and a connection is made. The call indicator LED on the base station flashes during the
call.
