SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Rechargeable Batteries
Do not use any other types of battery or normal (non-rechargeable) batteries. These could possibly cause
a short circuit.
Use only new batteries of the same type (3.6V 280mAh - Ni-Mh batteries).
Do not throw batteries into the fire or immerse in water.
Do not dispose of old or defective batteries with the normal household waste.
If the handset should become warm during charging, this is quite normal and not dangerous.
Do not charge the handset or batteries using chargers of other manufacture as otherwise damage could
occur.
Use only the AUDIOLINE plug-in mains power supply supplied as other power supplies could damage the
telephone.
Location
A 230 Volt mains socket must be available where the telephone is to be located.
Do not position the base station in the immediate vicinity of other electronic equipment such as microwave
or hi-fi units as this can lead to mutual interference. The location has a deciding influence on the trouble-
free operation of the telephone.
Stand the telephone on a flat non-slip surface. The base station feet do not normally leave any marks on
the surface. However, on account of the multitude of varnishes and surface finishes used, surface marks
caused by the feet of the unit cannot be ruled out.
Do not use the handset in areas where there is the risk of an explosion.
Excessive exposure to smoke, dust, vibrations, chemicals, moisture, heat or the direct rays of the sun must
be avoided.
Medical Information
The AUDIOLINE CDL971G works with a very low transmission power. This low transmission power
precludes any damage to health according to the current state of development and technology. However,
it has been shown that portable telephones when switched on can affect medical equipment. Therefore,
maintain a distance of at least one metre from medical equipment.
Disposal
If the useful life of the batteries or the complete equipment has expired, please dispose of these in
accordance with the statutory requirements and in a manner friendly to the environment.
