Using the default outgoing message
If you have not recorded an outgoing message, the answering machine automatically plays the
default outgoing message.
Wording of the default outgoing message: Hallo, leider können wir Ihren Anruf nicht per-
sönlich entgegen nehmen. Bitte hinterlassen Sie Ihre Nachricht und Telefonnummer nach dem
Signalton."
Recording an outgoing message
1. Press and hold the S button. After a beep the display shows rA.
The outgoing message must be at least 3 seconds long and not longer than 60 se-
conds. The length of the outgoing message is deducted from the maximum recording
time. When your outgoing message is 18 seconds, for example, then 29 minutes and
42 seconds remain for incoming messages.
2. Speak your outgoing message into the microphone.
Keep a distance of about 15 cm from it.
3. To end recording, simply release the S button.
4. The outgoing message is automatically played back and the message PA appears in the
display. The volume can be adjusted by pressing the two arrow keys y and z.
You can play back your outgoing message at any time by pressing the S button briefly.
Deleting your own outgoing message and reverting to the standard message
1. Press the S button for 2 Seconds until a beep is heard.
Your outgoing message is deleted and the answering machine plays the default outgoing mes-
sage.
Setting the number of rings
On the rear side of the answering machine is a sliding switch (2 6 TS). Set the sliding switch to
the number of times the answering machine should ring before it takes a call.
Position
Significance
2 The call is taken after two rings.
6 The call is taken after six rings.
TS The first call is taken after six rings and all the other calls after two rings. This
switch position can be used to implement the toll−saving remote access func-
tion. Details are provided in the Chapter Free of charge pre−remote access".
