4 WIFI-SIGNAAL OPTIMALISEREN

Steeds meer apparaten maken gebruik van Wi. Al deze apparaten

samen kunnen ervoor zorgen dat u een minder hoge Wi-snelheid

ervaart. Om uw Wi-signaal optimaal te houden, kunt u een aantal

maatregelen nemen. Bekijk wat u kunt doen op www.caiway.nl/wiﬁ.

4.1 WIFI-KANAAL WIJZIGEN

Het Wi-signaal wordt uitgezonden via een frequentie in de lucht (net

als bij een radio). Dit wordt het Wi-kanaal genoemd. Naast uw Wi-

router kunnen ook andere apparaten op dit Wi-kanaal actief zijn.

Wanneer veel apparaten gelijktijdig op een Wi-kanaal actief zijn,

neemt de Wi-snelheid af.

Heeft u een trage of wegvallende Wi-verbinding? Probeer dan

handmatig het Wi-kanaal te wijzigen en controleer of de verbinding

beter wordt. Hieronder vindt u de stappen om handmatig het Wi-

kanaal te wijzigen.

VIA DE INTERNETBROWSER

L Zorg dat uw pc of laptop verbonden is met uw ASUS Wi-router.

1. Log in op het online gebruikersmenu (zie hoofdstuk 2).

2. Klik in het menu op Wireless (draadloos).

3. Kies het tabblad General (algemeen).

4. Selecteer bij Band het netwerk waarop u traag internet ervaart

(2.4GHz of 5GHz).

5. Selecteer bij Control Channel (Wi-kanaal) een ander kanaalnummer.

Probeer kanaalnummers 1, 6 en 11.

6. Klik op Apply (toepassen) om de wijzigingen op te slaan.

Uw Wi-kanaal is gewijzigd.
