In het geval dat het wasgoed in de trommel ongelijkmatig is verdeeld of een kluit vormt, kan dit problemen opleveren, zoals trillingen en lawaai tijdens het
draaien. Wasmachine herkent dit en activeert de UKS* (*systeem uit balans).
Kleinere hoeveelheden (bv. een handdoek, een trui, een badjas, enz.) of materialen met bijzondere geometrische eigenschappen (bv. slippers, grote
stukken, etc.) zijn vrijwel onmogelijk gelijkmatig te verdelen rond de omtrek van de trommel van de wasmachine. Daarom kan het komen tot meerdere
pogingen tot herschikking van het wasgoed. Dit leidt tot een verlenging van de wascyclus. In extreme gevallen kunnen deze ongunstige omstandigheden
leiden tot voltooiing van het wasprogramma zonder centrifugeren.
UKS* (*systeem uit balans) – stabiliteitscontrole - maakt een stabiele werking en een langere levensduur van het apparaat mogelijk.
