Fig.19:
In warmed up condition, the oil level must be at “MAX” mark-
ing. In cold condition, the oil level can be somewhat below, in
hot condition the oil level can be somewhat above the "MAX"
marking.
There always must be oil in the compensation tank so that no
air can enter the hydraulic system.
The oil change must be carried out by an authorised service
centre (see Maintenance table).
Check if the gearbox fan is undamaged.
The hydrostatic drive generates a monotone working noise
that gets louder as the load is increased (e.g. in steep ter-
rain). If the working noise changes, if it gets irregular or very
loud, let the hydrostatic drive cool down and check the oil
level.
If the change working noise still exists, have the device
checked by an authorised service centre.
It is possible that the hydraulic system must be ventilated or
the oil must be changed. For refilling, only use the types of oil
specified in the technical data.
Check oil level of the bevel gear.
Place the device for 30minutes on a level surface before you
check the oil level.
The ideal oil level is at the centre of the inspection glass.
If the oil level is below the bottom edge of the inspection
glass, damage to the gearbox due to overheating will result. If
the oil level is higher than 2/3 of the inspection glass, the
seals will be damaged and oil loss will result.
Contact an authorised service centre when the oil level is too
high or too low.
