5. Usage

Press the Lid-opener. The lng lid opens. Fill the kele with cold water and press

the lid down unl it locks into place.

Note: A scale is provided on the outside. Do not ll the container above the maxi-

mum mark. The boiling water may spurt out if the kele is overlled. Then, place

the kele on the base plate. Buons for selecng various water temperatures are

provided on the base staon. Press the buon corresponding to the temperature

you desire. The buon starts ashing. Press the "ON/OFF" buon to start the boil-

ing funcon subsequently. As soon as the water reaches the set temperature, the

kele switches o and you hear two beeps. The heang element switches o auto-

macally and the boiling process is stopped. The appliance can now be lied and

the water can be used.

5.1 “KEEP WARM”

The "KEEP WARM" funcon allows you to maintain a set temperature. To do this

press "KEEP WARM" and select a temperature. Please note that you can only

select 70°C, 80°C or 90°C. Once the desired temperature is selected, press the

"ON/OFF" buon. Following this, the kele heat to the set value and maintains

this temperature for half an hour. Press the "ON/OFF" buon to interrupt this op-

eraon. If you remove the kele from the staon during the keep-warm funcon,

the appliance is switched to the standby mode.

6. Descaling and cleaning

We recommend to descale the kele at regular intervals depending upon the in-

tensity of use. Before cleaning, pull out the power plug and wait unl the appliance

cools down completely. Please use only commercially available descaling agents

based on citric acid to descale the water container.

For the appropriate dosage, please refer to the specicaons on the package or in-

sert of the descaling agent. The heang plate should not be specically cleaned. Do

not use any hard objects on the heang plate. Use only a damp cloth for cleaning

the kele externally. Do not use any abrasive items like wire brush or steel sponge

for cleaning. Never use any cleaning agents which may corrode the surface or pres-

ent a health risk if consumed! Never immerse the appliance, the power cable or

the plug in water or in any other liquid to prevent risk of electric shock.
