CONTROLEREN VAN HET
MOTOROLIEPEIL EN BIJVULLEN
Lees aandachtig pag. 43 (MOTOROLIE)
en pag. 60 (ONDERHOUD).
Controleer regelmatig het motoroliepeil,
ververs de olie na de eerste 1000 km (625
mijl) en daarna telkens om de 7500 km
(4687 mijl) of 12 maanden, zie pag. 66
(VERVANGEN VAN DE MOTOROLIE EN
HET OLIEFILTER).
Controleer als volgt:
OPGELET
Het motoroliepeil moet worden
gecontroleerd bij warme motor.
Als de controle wordt uitgevoerd bij
koude motor, kan het oliepeil tijdelijk
onder het merkteken “MIN” zakken.
Dit is geen probleem, op voorwaarde
dat het waarschuwingslampje van de
motoroliedruk

niet oplicht, zie
pag. 15 (INSTRUMENTEN EN
CONTROLELAMPJES)
.
OPMERKINGLaat de motor niet
stationair draaien terwijl de motorfiets
stilstaat om de motor op te warmen en de
motorolie op bedrijfstemperatuur te
brengen. De juiste procedure is een
controle uitvoeren na een reis of na een rit
van ongeveer 15 km (10 mijl) buiten de
stad (voldoende om de motorolie op
temperatuur te brengen).
u Stop de motor, zie pag. 57 (STOPPEN).
u Laat de motorfiets rechtop staan met de
twee wielen op de grond.
u Controleer het oliepeil in de transparante
leiding (1).
MAX = maximumniveau
MIN= minimumniveau.
Het verschil tussen “MAX” en “MIN”
bedraagt ongeveer 500 cm³.
u Het peil is correct wanneer de olie bijna
tot de “MAX”-markering reikt.
OPGELET
Vul nooit bij tot boven het “MAX”-
streepje en zorg er ook voor dat het peil
nooit tot onder het “MIN”-streepje zakt,
anders kan ernstige schade aan de
motor ontstaan.
Vul indien nodig motorolie bij op de
volgende manier:
u Schroef de vuldop (2) los en verwijder
hem.
OPGELET
Voeg geen additieven of andere
substanties toe aan de olie.
Als u een trechter of soortgelijke
voorwerpen gebruikt, zorg er dan voor
dat ze perfect schoon zijn.
OPMERKINGGebruik 15W - 50 olie
van hoge kwaliteit, zie pag. 114
(SMEERMIDDELENTABEL).
u Vul de tank bij tot het juiste peil is
bereikt, zie pag. 114
(SMEERMIDDELENTABEL).
