Caching-Server unter OS X Server Yosemite hält für OS 7 oder neuer und OS X Mountain Lion

•
Sprachen und Wörterbücher mit hoher Qualität
Weitere Informationen zu Inhalten, die mit dem Caching-Dienst gespeichert werden, nden Sie

iTunes unterstützt Caching-Server ebenfalls. Die folgenden Arten von Inhalten werden von
iTunes 11.0.4 oder neuer (sowohl Mac als auch Windows) unterstützt:
•
Apps aus dem App Store
•
Aktualisierungen (Updates) aus dem App Store
•
Bücher aus dem iBooks Store
Große Netzwerke protieren von mehreren Caching-Servern. In vielen Implementierungen genügt es,
den Dienst zu aktivieren, um den Caching-Server zu kongurieren. Bei Caching-Server unter
OS X Server Yosemite ist keine NAT-Umgebung für den Server und alle Geräte, die ihn verwenden,
mehr erforderlich. Caching-Server kann jetzt in Netzwerken verwendet werden, die aus öentlich
weiterleitbaren IP-Adressen bestehen. Apple-Geräte mit iOS 7 oder neuer oder OS X Mountain
Lion 10.8.2 oder neuer kontaktieren automatisch einen nahe gelegenen Caching-Server, ohne dass
eine zusätzliche Konguration erforderlich ist.

Der Arbeitsablauf des Caching-Servers sieht wie folgt aus:
1 Wenn ein Apple-Gerät in einem Netzwerk, dem ein oder mehrere Caching-Server angehören,
Inhalte aus dem iTunes Store oder von einem Softwareaktualisierungsserver anfordert, wird das
iOS-Gerät an einen Caching-Server verwiesen.
2 Der Caching-Server überprüft zunächst, ob der angeforderte Inhalt bereits im lokalen Cache
vorhanden ist.
•
Ist das der Fall, übermittelt er den Inhalt unverzüglich an das Gerät.
•
Wenn der Caching-Server die angeforderte Ressource nicht ndet, versucht er, den Inhalt
aus einer anderen Quelle zu laden. Caching-Server 2 oder neuer beinhaltet eine Peer-
Replikationsfunktion, d. h., es kann auf andere Caching-Server im Netzwerk zurückgegrien
werden, wenn diese Server den angeforderten Inhalt bereits geladen haben.
3 Wenn der Caching-Server ladbare Daten empfängt, übermittelt er sie unverzüglich an
Geräte, die sie angefordert haben, und speichert gleichzeitig eine Kopie im Cache auf dem
festgelegten Speichergerät.
