What you do next depends on the type of Hangout you want to

start:

• SMS message: touch a phone number.

• Text hangout: touch a name.

• Video call: touch a name, then touch the Video icon at the top

of the screen.

To switch from one type of message to another, or in the case of

SMS to a different phone number, touch the drop-down menu at

the top of the screen.

To adjust notication preferences and other settings, touch

Menu > Settings.

Calendar

Use the Calendar app to view and edit your sched-

ule. To open it, touch the Calendar icon on a Home

or All Apps screen.

When you rst set up your Android device, you have a chance

to congure it to use a Google Account (such as Gmail). The

rst time you open the Calendar app on your phone or tablet, it

displays any existing calendar events from that Google Account

on the web.

As you edit events, they’re synced automatically across all the

places you need them.
