CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning turn the cooker off (all switches set to „0”) and wait until co-
o led. Then wipe with a soft rag with a small amount of dish-washing agent.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
Heating plates
Dirt from plate surfaces, c.g. burned food remains, can be removed with a soft
rag or sponge (black plate surfaces cannot be washed or serubbed with any-
thing). The nickel-plated decorative rings can be washed with dish-wa shing
agents or mild serubbing liquids.
Plate surfaces should be rubbed from time to time with white mineral oil (for
sewing machines) or silicone oil. Animal or vegetable fats like butter, lard, oil
etc. cannot be used for that purpose.
Pay attention to
— cleanness of the plates - a dirty plate does not convcy its full power
— protect the plates against corrosion
— turn the plates off 5-10 minutes before removing the pot
— do not leave dishes prepared in fats or oils unattended - hot fat can ignite.
General remarks about using electric plates
The cooker, depending on its variation, can be equipped with normal, fast-he-
ating and automatic plates.
Symbols placed above the knobs inform which knob controls which plate.
A plate is off when
● „0”number on the knob is placed under the vertical line on the control pa nel
in case of position marks situated on the knob perimeter
● mark on the knob is placed under „0” number on the control panel in case
of position marks on the conntrol panel
The power of the plate can be adjusted gradually turning the knob right or
left.
The power scope of heating plates at various knob positions is shown in the
table. Turning any of the plates on results in lighting [of the control lamp.
