LVD:
The TM-36 and the TM-56 complies with EN 61010-1 and EN 61010-2-31 as
published in the LVD directive 73/23/EEC and 93/68/EEC.
EMC:
The TM-36 and the TM-56 complies with EN 55011-3.1991 and EN 50082-
1.1992 as published in the EMC directive 89/336/EEC.
OPERATION / SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Measuring:
-
Make sure before each measurement that the meter is set to the suitable
range.
-
Do not input values over the maximum range of each measurement to avoid
damages of the meter.
-
If the magnitude is not known, set the range-switch to the highest range and
reduce until a satisfactory reading is obtained.
-
Do not turn the rotary function switch during Voltage and Current
measurement, otherwise the meter could be destroyed (attention: see also "
DC/AC CURRENT MEASUREMENT").
-
Be aware that some devices like motors etc have a high start-current.
Usage:
-
If the unit is used near noise generating equipment, be aware that the display may
become unstable or indicate large errors.
-
Replace the battery as soon as the battery indicator lights. With a low battery,
the Meter might produce false readings that can lead to electric shock and
personal injury.
Safety:
-
Use caution when working with Voltages above 48V (AC/DC). These
Voltages pose shock hazard.
-
Do not operate the tester under adverse environmental condition especially
humid area.
-
Carefully inspect the test leads. If damaged, discard and replace.
-
Do not operate the tester before the cabinet has been closed and screwed
safely as terminal can carry voltage.
-
Before using the tester, please inspect the cabinet and test leads for
damaged insulation or exposed metal.
Care:
-
Periodically wipe the case with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use
abrasives or solvents.
-
Only clean the cabinet when the meter is switched-OFF and when the
testleads are removed.
-
Refer to the item in this manual how to replace the fuse.
-
Always consult a specialized repair department in case your tester is defect
