When dealing with electrical appliances one should always be aware of
some basic safety measures in order to avoid the risk of fi re, electrical
shock, and possible injuries. Take into consideration the following:
1. Check the voltage of the electrical outlet to ensure that it matches with the
rated voltage of the unit before using.
2. Never use the humidifi er in a confi ned space, especially if there is a child
who is sleeping, resting or playing close by.
3. Do not add water from water dispenser. This can cause damage to the unit.
4. Do not let children play with the packaging of this product for e.g. plastic
bags.
5. Never put the electrical cord under rugs or in the proximity of heat vents,
radiators, stoves or heaters.
6. Do not place the humidifi er near stoves, radiators and heaters. Place the
humidifi er on an inside wall near an electrical outlet. The humidifi er must be
placed at least 10 cm from the wall in order to obtain the best results.
7. Do not attempt to refi ll the humidifi er before unplugging the power cord from
the electrical outlet.
8. Never use an appliance that has a damaged cord or plug, a defect, has
dropped or fallen or is damaged. Send the unit back to the manufacturer for
examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment or repair.
9. Place the humidifi er on a solid, fl at and level surface at least 60cm from the
fl oor.
10. Do not place the steam outlet facing the wall.
11. Do not tilt, move or empty the unit while it is on and operating.
12. Turn the unit off and unplug it from the electrical outlet before removing
water and transporting the unit.
13. Do not try to repair or modify any electrical or mechanical functions on this
unit. If you do, you will lose the warranty on the unit.
14. The inside of the unit does not contain spare parts and does not need
maintenance. All maintenance and servicing should only be performed by
qualifi ed personnel.
15. Never use detergents, gasoline, glass cleaner, furniture polish, thinner, or
other household cleaning agents to clean parts of the humidifi er.
16. Do not pour water into any opening other than the water tank.
17. Excessive humidity in a room can cause water condensation on windows
and furniture. Turn the humidifi er off if this happens.
