Instructions for overload protection
It is possible to equip the Compact 3010 with overload protection in order to utilise the capacity of the vehicle’s fuses. Total power consumption in
the vehicle shall not be greater than the fused power consumption. Fuse: 6 A / 10 A / 16A Max power: 1300W / 2300W / 3600W
The single largest consumer of power is the boiler’s electrical heating cartridge. When most power consumers are connected up (coffee maker,
electric iron, TV, etc.) it is necessary to ensure that total power consumption does not exceed the capacity of the fuses that the vehicle is connected
to. Overload protection reduces or automatically disconnects the boiler’s power consumption and prevents the fuse from tripping if something other
than the power consumer is connected to the vehicle, for example, if a coffee maker is started up, 1000 Watts are disconnected from the boiler dur-
ing the time that the coffee maker is making coffee (this does not apply when it is just being kept warm).
In order for this to function, set the fuse value on the boiler’s control panel. On account of voltage variations and tolerances, it is possible to select
various regulation levels (for example, for a 6 A fuse, one can choose 6, 7 Amp setting). If a fuse does not hold, one can select a lower value.
The overload protection can be set at 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16 or 17 Amps.
Assembly
NB! Installation must be carried out by a qualied electrician. NB! Break 230 V to the vehicle. Break 12 V to the boiler.
Assemble the overload protection in accordance with the drawing. Only one conductor (phase or zero) shall be threaded through
the ring transformer. Connect the overload protection (to the voltmeter plinth) on the back of the control panel. If necessary it is possible
to extend the cable. See the Operating instruction and Installation instruction for the Control Panel - Functions and symbols (item Load monitor
Amp) in order to set the overload protection.

Anleitung für Überlastungsschutz
Zur Ausnutzung der Kapazität der Sicherungen im Fahrzeug kann Compact 3010 mit einem Überlastungsschutz ausgestattet
werden. Der Gesamtstromverbrauch im Fahrzeug darf nicht den gesicherten Stromverbrauch übersteigen.
Sicherung: 6 A / 10 A / 16 A; Max. Leistung: 1300W / 2300W / 3600W
Der größte Einzelverbraucher an Strom ist die Elektropatrone der Heizung. Wenn mehr Stromverbraucher angeschlossen werden
(Kaffeemaschine, Bügeleisen, Fernseher usw.), ist darauf zu achten, dass der Gesamtstromverbrauch nicht die Sicherung überlastet,
an die das Fahrzeug angeschlossen ist. Der Stromverbrauch durch die Heizung wird durch den Überlastungsschutz vermindert oder automatisch
abgeschaltet, wodurch das Auslösen der Sicherung beim Zuschalten eines anderen Stromverbrauchers im Fahrzeug vermieden wird. Wird bei-
spielsweise die Kaffeemaschine eingeschaltet, werden 1000W von der Heizung abgeschaltet, solange die Kaffeemaschine braut
(nicht beim Warmhalten).
Damit dies so funktioniert, muss der Wert der Sicherung an der Bedieneinheit der Heizung eingestellt werden. Aufgrund von Spannungsvariationen
und – toleranzen können verschiedene Einstellungen gewählt werden (für eine 6 A-Sicherung können z.B. die Einstellungen 6, 7 Amp. gewählt
werden). Sollte die Sicherung trotzdem auslösen, muss ein geringerer Wert eingestellt werden. Der Überlastungsschutz ist einstellbar auf 6, 7, 9,
10, 11, 15, 16 oder 17 Amp.
Montage
ACHTUNG! Die Installation ist von einem Fachmann auszuführen. ACHTUNG! Schalten Sie 230 V-Stromversorgung
zum Fahrzeug ab. Schalten Sie die 12 V-Stromversorgung zur Heizung ab. Montieren Sie den Überlastungsschutz gemäß der Skizze. Lediglich
ein Leiter (Phase oder Null) soll durch den Ringtransformator gezogen werden. Schließen Sie den Überlastungsschutz (zur Voltmeterklemme) an
der Rückseite der Bedieneinheit an. Falls erforderlich, kann das Kabel verlängert werden. Siehe Betriebsanweisung und Installationsanleitung für
die Bedieneinheit – Funktionen und Symbole (Punkt Überlastungsschutz Amp), um den Überlastungsschutz einzustellen.
