Draadloze netwerken gebruiken
Schakel het selectievakje in om informatie van mobiele en Wi-Fi-netwerken te
gebruiken om uw geschatte locatie vast te stellen, voor gebruik in Google Maps,
wanneer u zoekt, enzovoort. Wanneer u deze optie selecteert, wordt u gevraagd of u
ermee akkoord gaat uw locatie anoniem te delen met de locatieservice van Google.
GPS-satellieten gebruiken
Schakel het selectievakje in om de GPS-satellietontvanger (Global Positioning System)
van uw telefoon te gebruiken om uw locatie te bepalen met een nauwkeurigheid tot
op enkele meters ('straatniveau'). De eerste keer dat u toegang tot de GPS-satelliet
zoekt en de precieze locatie van uw telefoon instelt, kan dit tot 5 minuten duren. U
moet stil blijven staan op een locatie met duidelijk zicht op de hemel. Daarna heeft
GPS slechts 20-40 seconden nodig om uw precieze locatie vast te stellen.
