1. Display: questo display mostra il tempo del Tom Cat o altri valori specifici descritti nella
presente guida.
2. Tempo: girare questa manopola per regolare il tempo globale del Tom Cat (20–300 BPM o battiti
al minuto). Il numero comparirà sul display. Si utilizza questa manopola anche per svolgere altre
operazioni quali selezionare il valore delle note (per i tom disco), la quantità di swing o la
lunghezza del pattern.
3. Tap: premere questo pulsante al tempo desiderato per inserire un nuovo tempo. Il Tom Cat
individuerà il nuovo tempo dopo tre battiti.
4. Shift: tenere premuto questo pulsante per accedere alle funzioni secondarie di determinati tasti.
5. Interruttori Step: premere questi tasti per inserire o cancellare un passo/una nota nel pattern.
Tenere premuto Shift per accedere alle loro funzioni secondarie
• Tom Oct -/+: servirsi di questi tasti per spostare la “tastiera” del tom disco (gli interruttori
di passo Step in modalità Record Performance) di un’ottava verso l’alto o verso il basso.
• 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32: servirsi di questi tasti per selezionare la divisione di tempo del pattern
(vale a dire il valore di nota di ciascun interruttore di passo Step). Quando si tiene premuto
Shift, l’indicatore di passo al di sopra della divisione di tempo corrente sarà acceso.
• Triplet: premere questo tasto per attivare o disattivare Triplet, che trasforma la divisione
del tempo in una divisione basata su terzine (eccetto 1/32). Tenendo premuto Shift,
l’indicatore di passo (Step) al di sopra di questo tasto quando viene attivato sarà acceso.
• Swing: premere questo tasto e girare la manopola Tempo per regolare la quantità di swing
applicata al pattern. A 50, non viene applicato alcuno swing. A 75, lo swing applicato al
pattern è totale. (Identico agli MPC

• Rec Step: premere questo tasto per entrare in modalità Record Step. Per saperne di più, si
veda il paragrafo Modalità Record Step (registrazione passo) del presente manuale.
Quando ci si trova in questa modalità, tenendo premuto Shift, l’indicatore di passo (Step)
al di sopra di questo tasto sarà acceso.
• Rec Perf: premere questo tasto per entrare in modalità Record Performance. Per saperne
di più, si veda il paragrafo Modalità Record Performance (prestazioni di registrazione) del
presente manuale. Quando ci si trova in questa modalità, tenendo premuto Shift,
l’indicatore di passo (Step) al di sopra di questo tasto sarà acceso.
