Ter raadpleging:

• Dolby Digitaal (AC-3) is een door de Dolby Laboratories Licensing

Corporation ontwikkelde digitale geluidscompressie techniek.

• Door het ondersteunen van zowel 5.1 kanaal meerkanaalsgeluid als stereo

(2 kanaal) geluid is het met deze techniek mogelijk om een grote hoeveelheid

geluidsdata op een disc op te nemen.

• Lineair PCM is een signaal opname formaat dat in een CD wordt gebruikt.

Terwijl een CD in 44.1 kHz/16 bit wordt opgenomen, geschiedt de opname

van een DVD in 48 kHz/16 bit t/m 96 kHz/24 bit.

• Met een Dolby Pro Logic meerkanaals decoder hebt u alle voordelen van Pro

Logic met dezelfde DVD films die hele 5.1 kanaal Dolby Digitale

geluidssporen bezitten, en ook met titels met het Dolby Surround teken.
