To place a dock adaptor:
1. Refer to the compatibility table (on page 29) and select the correct dock adaptor for the
iPod/iPhone.
2. Place the proper adaptor into the dock and press it into position. The adaptor will only go in
one way. The iPod dock connector should fit through the opening in the bottom of the adaptor.
3. Carefully align and then gently insert the iPod/iPhone into the dock. (The iPod
®/iPhone® must
not be in a case or “SKIN”)
4. To remove/replace a dock adaptor, first remove the iPod/iPhone, and then grip the adaptor and
pull gently upwards.
Note: Once the iPod®/iPhone® is docked to the unit (after the unit connected to the main power),
it will be charged automatically.
Playing an iPod® or an iPhone®
1. Dock the iPod
® or iPhone® on to the unit. Power on the unit, then press SOURCE button
repeatedly to switch to iPod mode, and then the playback will start automatically.
2. Press PLAY/PAUSE button to start or pause the playback.
3. Press
TUNING button on the unit or iPod+/TUN+ button on the remote to skip to the
next track; press and hold to search through the track forward.
4. Press TUNING
button on the unit or iPod-/TUN- button on the remote to skip to the
previous track; press and hold to search through the track backward.
5. Press MENU button on the remote to return back to the iPod menu, press navigation buttons
S/ T to select your desired track for playback.
6. Press PLAYLIST S/ T button to cycle through the playlists on the connected
iPod®/iPhone®.
7. Press ALBUM S/ T button to select your desired album for playback on the connected iPod®/
iPhone®.
8. Press CHAPTER +/- button to select a corresponding chapter for playback.
9. Press and hold CLOCK VIEW/
SHUFFLE button to enable or disable the shuffle function.
10. Press REPEAT/ST button repeatedly to cycle through the repeat options (repeat 1, repeat
album and repeat off).
