1. Operating Instructions
1.1 Technical Description
The Multitherm Bathroom Heaters VKE 150, VKE 200 and VKE 151 are direct electrical heaters for
wall mounting.
The devices are suitable as full heaters especially for the bathroom or as transitional and supple-
mentary heaters for smaller rooms such as home work rooms and guest rooms.
The room air is heated by both natural convection and by the built-in fan. The room air is sucked
in through openings on the back of the heater and blown out uniformly and free of draughts
through the air outlet grille (E).
A slight smell may be noticeable the first time the heater is operated. This is normal and will soon
disappear.
1.2 Operation of the
VKE 150, VKE 200
The operating elements of the heater
selector switch (A) for convection mode and combined fan operation
continuously adjustable temperature regulator (B) from approx. 5 °C ”
d
” (frost protection)
to approx. 30 °C ”12”
120 minute timer (C)
pilot lamp (D) are located on the right side of the heater
The selector switch (A) has 3 setting possibilities
heat emission through the surface with a performance of
500 W (VKE 150)
1000 W (VKE 200)
OFF for convection mode and combined fan operation
heat emission through the surface and the built-in fan with full heating power
1500 W (VKE 150) or 2000 W (VKE 200), temperature-controlled for fast heating
for high heating requirement
Proceed as follows to achieve exact setting of the desired temperature:
Place a thermometer in the middle of the room 1.5 m above the floor with the doors and windows
closed. Turn the knob of the temperature regulator to the ”12” position.
As soon as the desired room temperature is reached (e. g. when the thermometer indicates +20 °C),
turn back the knob until the pilot lamp (D) goes out. After you have set the temperature as de-
scribed above, the temperature regulator (B) automatically keeps the room temperature constant.
The built-in 120 minute timer (C) enables limited heating at maximum heating power without
temperature regulation
regardless of the position of the selector switch (A). At the end of the set
operating time the heater operates with heat emission through the surface or heat emission
through the surface and by fan depending on the setting of the selector switch (A).
The operating time can be interrupted at any time by turning back the knob (C) of the timer.
VKE 151
The operating elements of the heater
ON/OFF switch (A)
continuously adjustable temperature regulator (B) from approx. 5 °C ”
d
” (frost protection)
to approx. 30 °C ”+”
120 minute timer (C)
are located on the right side of the heater
The temperature regulator (B) sets the desired temperature from approx. 5 °C ”
d
” to 30 °C ”+”
continuously. The heater operates in temperature-controlled convection mode without a fan.
