To adjust skid plates (N)
NOTE: The wrench provided in your parts bag may be used to adjust the
skid plates.
Skid plates (N) are located on each side of the auger housing and adjust
the clearance between the scraper bar (P) and the ground surface. Adjust
skid plates evenly to proper height for current surface conditions. For re-
moval of snow in normal conditions, such as a paved driveway or sidewalk,
place skid plates in the highest position (lowest scraper clear ance) to give
a 3 mm (1/8") clearance between the scraper bar and the ground. Use a
middle position if the surface to be cleared is uneven.

NOTE: It is not recommended to operate the snow thrower over gravel or rocky surfaces. Objects such as gravel, rocks or other debris
can easily be picked up and thrown by the impeller, which can cause serious personal injury, property damage or damage to the snow
thrower.
• If snow thrower must be operated over gravel surface, use extra caution and be sure skid plates are adjusted to lowest (highest
scraper clearance) position.
1. Shut off engine and wait for all moving parts to stop.
2. Adjust skid plates by loosening the rear 13 mm (1/2") hex nut only, then moving skid plate to desired position. Be sure both plates
are adjusted evenly. Tighten securely.
Scraper bar (P)
The scraper bar is not adjustable, but is reversible. After considerable use it may become worn. When it has worn almost to the edge of
the housing, it can be reversed, providing additional service before requiring re place ment. Replace a damaged or worn scraper bar.
Einstellen der gleitkufen (N)
HINWEIS: Der Kombischraubenschlüssel in der Zubehörtas-
che kann zur Einstellung der Gleitkufen verwendet werden.
Die Gleitkufen (N) befi nden sich auf beiden Seiten des
Einzugsschneckengehäuses und dienen dem Ausgleich des
Spielraums zwischen dem Schaber (P) und dem Erdboden.
Justieren Sie die Gleitkufen auf gleicher Höhe, je nach
Bodenbeschaffenheit. Für die Schneeräumung bei normaler
Bodenbeschaffenheit, wie z.B. auf geteerten Einfahrten oder
auf dem Bürgersteig, sind die Gleitkufen auf höchste Posi-
tion zu bringen (niedrigste Schaberhöhe) um einen Spielraum
von 3 mm (1/8") zwischen dem Schaber und dem Boden zu
gewährleisten. Auf unebenem Boden ist eine mittlere Einstel-
lung zu verwenden.
HINWEIS: Von der Verwendung der Schneefräse auf gekiestem
oder steinigem Boden wird abgeraten. Etwaige Fremdkörper
wie Kiesel, Steine oder anderes Geröll können leicht vom
Antriebsrad aufgenommen und herausgeschleudert werden,
was ernsthafte Verletzungen, Beschädigung von Eigentum
oder Schäden an der Schneefräse zur Folge haben kann.
• Sollten Sie die Schneefräse auf gekiesten Flächen einset-
zen müssen, ist dabei erhöhte Vorsicht geboten, und Sie
sollten sicher stellen, dass die Gleitkufen auf niedrigster
Position (höchster Schaberhöhe) stehen.
1. Stellen Sie den Motor ab und warten Sie, bis alle bewe-
glichen Teile stillstehen.
2. Verstellen Sie die Gleitkufen, indem Sie lediglich die hintere
13 mm (1/2") Sechskantmutter lockern, um die Gleitkufen
dann in die gewünschte Position zu bringen. Stellen Sie
sicher, dass beide Gleitkufen auf gleicher Höhe justiert
sind. Ziehen Sie die Muttern fest an.
Schaber (P)
Der Schaber ist nicht höhenverstellbar, kann jedoch gewendet
werden. Nach einiger Verwendung kann er Abnutzungser-
scheinungen aufweisen. Sollte er fast bis zum Rand des
Gehäuses abgenutzt sein, kann er gewendet werden, was
eine Weiterverwendung gewährleistet, bevor er ausgetauscht
werden muss. Ein beschädigter oder vollständig abgenutzter
Schaber muss ausgetauscht weden.

inférieur.
Les plaques de protection du carter inférieur (N) sont situées
sur chaque côté du logement de la tarière et ajustent le jeu
entre la barre de raclage (P) et la surface du sol. Ajustez les
plaques de protection du carter inférieur à la hauteur néces-
saire pour les conditions de surface courantes. Pour enlever la
neige dans des conditions normales, comme les voies d’accès
asphaltées ou les trottoirs, placez les plaques de protection du
carter inférieur dans la position la plus haute (jeu de raclage le
plus bas) pour donner un jeu de 3 mm (1/8") entre la barre de
raclage et le sol. Utilisez une position médiane si la superfi cie
à nettoyer est inégale.
REMARQUE: Il n’est pas recommandé de faire fonctionner la
souffl euse sur le gravier ou sur des surfaces rocheuses. Les
objets tels que le gravier, les petites roches et autres débris,
peuvent être facilement ramassés et rejetés par la roue à
aube, qui peut causer des blessures personnelles graves, des
dommages à la propriété ou dans la souffl euse.
• Si la souffl euse doit être mise en fonction sur une superfi cie
de gravier, faites extrêmement attention et assurez-vous
que les plaques de protection du carter inférieur sont
ajustées à la position la plus basse (jeu de raclage le
plus haut).
1. Éteignez le moteur et attendez l’arrêt de tous les éléments
mobiles.
2. Ajustez les plaques de protection du carter inférieur en
desserrant l’écrou hexagonal arrière de 13 mm (1/2")
seulement et en déplaçant la plaque de protection du
carter inférieur à la position désirée. Assurez-vous que
les deux plaques de protection sont ajustées de façon
égale. Serrer solidement.
Barre de raclage (P)
La barre de raclage n’est pas ajustable, mais elle est réversible.
Après un usage prolongé, elle peut devenir usagée. Lorsqu’elle
a presque usé l’arête du logement, elle peut être renversée,
fournissant des services additionnels avant d’être remplacée.
Remplacez une barre de raclage endommagée ou usagée.
