Chooseasuitablelocationforthedevice.Suitableloca-
tions are dry, even and antislip surfaces on which you may
operate the device easily.
Makesurethereisproperventilationforthedevice!
Remove,ifnecessary,theprotectionsheetfromthe
display.
Power supply (Adaptor)
Insertthegridplugintoaproperlyinstalledthreeprong
socket. Connect the device with the plug connector by
inserting its plug into the DC 5 V
jack of the
device.
Makesurethegridvoltagecorrespondstothegureson
the rating plate.
CAUTION:
Onlyusethesuppliedpoweradaptorforthisdevice.
Do not use for other devices.
OnlyusetheoriginalACadapter.Thisadapterhas
been specially designed for the built-in battery in order
tograduallychargethebattery.Anyotheradaptercan
shorten the battery life or can damage it or the device.
NOTE:
Disconnect from mains power supply during longer periods
of non-use.
Charging the battery
Before you can operate the device with the battery, you need
to charge it rst.
1. Turn off the device by setting the ON OFF switch (15) to
the OFF position.
2. Connect the device to a wall socket with the power
adaptor.TheCHARGEindicator(3)lightsupredandthe
battery is being charged.
Once the battery has been charged completely, the
CHARGEindicatorturnsgreen.
CAUTION:
Never leave the device unattended during the charging
process.
NOTE:
The duration of the charging process depends on the state
of charge of the battery.
General operation
Switch the device on/off
SwitchthedeviceonbysettingtheONOFFswitchon
the back of the device to ON.
Standby/operating mode:Youmaythentoggle
between standby and operating mode by pressing the
STANDBYbutton(9).
Toswitchoffthedevice,settheONOFFswitchtoOFF.

ForswitchingbetweenFM,AUX,USBandCARDmode.
NOTE:
TheUSB,CARDmodecanonlybeselectedrespectively
when a respective storage medium is connected.

Listening to the radio
Scan stations
1. Repeatedly press MODE button (16) until the display
shows FM.
2. Youhavetwooptionsfortuningastation:
- Press the

buttons (2).
- Keep the

buttons (2) pressed. The device scans
tothenextandthepreviousradiostationrespec-
tively.
3. If the reception is too weak and there is noise on the re-
ceived station, try to improve the reception by changing
the position of the telescopic antenna.
