SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please pay attention to the safety instructions in the
attached leaet!
Wear ear protectors. Exposure to noise can cause hearing
loss.
Use auxiliary handles supplied with the tool. Loss of
control can cause personal injury.
Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, when
performing an operation where the cutting accessory
may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Cutting
accessory contacting a „live“ wire may make exposed metal
parts of the power tool „live“ and shock the operator.
Appliances used at many different locations including open
air should be connected via a residual current device of
30 mA or less.
Always wear goggles when using the machine. It is
recommended to wear gloves, sturdy non slipping shoes
and apron.
Sawdust and splinters must not be removed while the
machine is running.
Always disconnect the plug from the socket before carrying
out any work on the machine.
Only plug-in when machine is switched off.
Keep mains lead clear from working range of the machine.
Always lead the cable away behind you.
When working in walls ceiling, or oor, take care to avoid
electric cables and gas or waterpipes.
The dust produced when using this tool may be harmful to
health. Do not inhale the dust. Wear a suitable dust
protection mask.
WARNING
The vibration emission level given in this information sheet has been measured in accordance with a standardized test given
in EN 60745 and may be used to compare one tool with another.
The vibration emission level will vary because of the ways in which a power tool can be used and may increase above the
level given in this information sheet. This could lead to a signicant underestimate of exposure when the tool is used regularly
in such a way.
Note: To be accurate, an estimation of the level of ex-posure to vibration experienced during a given period of work should
also take into account the times when the tool is switched off and when it is running but not actually doing the job. This may
signicantly reduce the exposure level over the total working period.

KH 5 E: The pneumatic hammer can be universally used for
hammer drilling and chiselling in stone and concrete.
MH 5 E: The hammer can be used for chiselling in stone
and concrete.
Do not use this product in any other way as stated for
normal use.

MAINS CONNECTION
Connect only to single-phase a.c. current and only to the
system voltage indicated on the rating plate. It is also
possible to connect to sockets without an earthing contact
as the design conforms to safety class II.
MAINTENANCE
The ventilation slots of the machine must be kept clear at all
times.
Important note! If the carbon brushes are worn, in addition
to exchanging the brushes the tool should be sent to
after-sales service. This will ensure long service life and top
performance.
Use only AEG accessories and AEG spare parts. Should
components need to be replaced which have not been
described, please contact one of our AEG service agents
(see our list of guarantee/service addresses).
If needed, an exploded view of the tool can be ordered.

printed on the label and order the drawing at your local
