Stopping the replay
Ripping (CD-MP3 Conversion)
ޥ NOTE:
˾ With the „̇“ button (Fig. 3/13) you can return from the  les to
the directories.
˾ By pressing the PROG (Fig. 3/29) button you can move between the
le list and the directory view.
˾ In the directory view only the titles in the selected directory are
played.
Press the „˾“-button (Fig. 3/18) on the remote control to stop the
replay.
If an audio CD is inserted you can activate the ripping function. This
function allows you to convert the data on the audio CD into MP3
format and store it on your connected MP3 player.
ޥ NOTE:
You can move through the ripping menu with the Cursor buttons (Fig.
3/13) and change the settings with the ENTER button (Fig. 3/25).
1. Press the MENU/RIPPING / MO/ST button (Fig. 3/14) to call up the
ripping menu.
2. Perform the required adjustments under “Options“. The settings are
changed with the ENTER button.
Speed: Here you can select the speed with which the tracks are to be
converted. The options available are Normal = real time and Fast.
Bitrate: Here you can select the desired bit rate.
Create ID3: Select whether ID3 information should be created.
ޥ NOTE:
This is only possible in the case of CDs which contain  le infor-
mation.
Device: Here the connected storage medium is displayed.
3. Now select the tracks to be converted in the right-hand column with
the Cursor buttons and the ENTER button.
4. In the overview (SUMMARY) the number of selected tracks and the
total track length are shown.
ޥ NOTE:
˾ If you would like to convert all the tracks, select the  eld
“Select all“.
˾ With “Select none“ you can delete your selection.
5. Now select the “Start“  eld press the ENTER button (Fig. 3/25).
6. The conversion begins. Progress is shown on the screen.
In order to exit from the ripping menu, select the “Exit”  eld and press
the ENTER button.
