2. Restez immobile, calme et reposez-vous pendant 5 minutes avant de mesurer votre pression arté-

rielle.

3. La manchette doit être placée au même niveau que votre cœur.

4. Pendant la mesure, ne parlez pas et ne bougez pas le corps ou le bras.

5. Mesurez toujours sur le même poignet.

6. Veillez à toujours vous détendre pendant au moins 1 ou 1,5 minute entre les mesures, aﬁn de per-

mettre à la circulation sagnuine de reprendre dans votre bras. Un gonﬂage trop important pendant

trop longtemps (pression de la manchette dépassant 300 mm Hg ou maintenue au dessus de 15 mm

Hg pendant plus de 3 minutes) de la poche pourrait provoquer une ecchymose de votre bras.

7. Consultez votre médecin si vous avez des doutes à propos des cas ci-dessous :

1) Application de la manchette sur une blessure ou une inﬂammation ;

2) Application de la manchette sur un membre où un accès ou une thérapie intravasculaire, ou une

dérivation artérioveineuse (A-V) est présente ;
