Acrobat wordt geleverd met alleen-breedteversies van veelgebruikte Chinese, Japanse en Koreaanse fonts, zodat Distiller
toegang heeft tot deze fonts in Acrobat. Zorg ervoor dat de fonts op uw computer beschikbaar zijn. Kies hiervoor in
Windows de installatieoptie Volledig of kies Aangepast en selecteer de optie waarbij Aziatische talen worden ondersteund.
In Mac OS worden deze fonts automatisch geïnstalleerd.
Meer informatie over het opnemen van fonts in een PostScript-bestand vindt u in de documentatie bij de toepassing en het
printerstuurprogramma dat u gebruikt om PostScript-bestanden te maken.
Opmerking: Distiller biedt geen ondersteuning voor Type 32-fonts.
Een voorbeeld van PDF's weergeven zonder lokale fonts
U kunt een afdrukbaar voorbeeld van uw document maken waarin standaardfonts worden gebruikt voor fonts die op uw
systeem aanwezig zijn, maar die niet zijn ingesloten in de PDF. Op deze manier kunt u besluiten of u deze lokale fonts in de
PDF wilt insluiten voor het beoogde resultaat.
1 Kies in Acrobat Bewerken > Voorkeuren (Windows) of Acrobat 8 > Voorkeuren (Mac OS).
2 Selecteer bij Categorieën de optie Paginaweergave en schakel Lokale fonts gebruiken uit.
Opmerking: Als een font niet kan worden vervangen, verschijnt de tekst als opsommingstekens en ziet u een waarschuwing.
Meer mappen toevoegen aan Distiller-fontzoekopdrachten
Naast de standaardfontmappen kan Distiller ook andere fontmappen doorzoeken. Deze moet u eerst opgeven.
1 Start Acrobat Distiller door een van de volgende handelingen uit te voeren:
• Kies in Acrobat Geavanceerd > Afdrukproductie > Acrobat Distiller.
• Klik of dubbelklik op het pictogram of de snelkoppeling Acrobat Distiller op het bureaublad, in het menu Start
(Windows) of in het Dock (Mac OS).
2 Kies Instellingen > Fontlocaties. Er verschijnt een dialoogvenster met een lijst van de mappen waarin Distiller naar fonts
zoekt. Dit kunnen mappen zijn op de lokale vaste schijf of in het netwerk.
Met een mappictogram naast de mapnaam geeft Distiller aan dat een fontmap beschikbaar is. Als er geen pictogram
verschijnt of een pictogram met een kruis erdoor, is er waarschijnlijk geen verbinding met de map. U moet dan eerst de
verbinding opnieuw tot stand brengen.
3 Als u een fontmap wilt toevoegen, klikt u op Toevoegen, selecteert u de map die u wilt toevoegen en klikt u op OK
(Windows) of Selecteer map (Mac OS).
Opmerking: Als u Distiller toegang wilt geven tot een fontmap die is verplaatst, verwijdert u de map op de oude locatie uit de
lijst in dit dialoogvenster en voegt u de map op de nieuwe locatie toe.
4 Als u een fontmap wil verwijderen, selecteert u de map en klikt u op Verwijderen.
5 Schakel TrueType-versies van standaard PostScript-fonts negeren in om TrueType-fonts met dezelfde naam als een font
in de PostScript 3-fontverzameling uit te sluiten.
6 Klik op OK.
PostScript-fontnamen zoeken
Als u een fontnaam handmatig moet invoeren in het venster Fonts van het dialoogvenster Adobe PDF-instellingen, kunt u
de exacte spelling van de fontnaam opzoeken in een PDF.
1 Maak met een willekeurige toepassing een document van één pagina met het font.
2 Maak een PDF van het document.
3 Open de PDF in Acrobat en kies Bestand > Eigenschappen > Fonts.
4 Schrijf de naam van het font op, waarbij u precies dezelfde spelling, hoofdletters en afbreektekens gebruikt, zoals deze
worden weergegeven in het dialoogvenster met fontinformatie.
