Inserting/changing batteries
For use you need 3 batteries of type LR03 (AAA), 1.5 V (included). The battery
compartment is located on the underside of the device.
1. Slide the battery compartment cover in the direction of the arrow and remove it.
2. Insert the batteries as indicated at the bottom of the battery compartment. Pay
attention to the correct polarity (+/-).
3. Replace the battery compartment cover and push it against the direction of the
arrow as far as it will go.
Suggestions for changing the battery:
A battery change is necessary when “Lo” or nothing at all is shown on
the display.
Only use the type of battery that is specied in the “Technical data”.
Always change all batteries at the same time.
Dispose of old batteries in an environmentally appropriate way
(see “Disposal”).
Calibrate the scale, see “Setting up the scale”.
Choosing the unit of measurement
The standard unit of measurement upon delivery is “kg” (kilogramme). However, the
measurement can also be displayed in the English unit of measurement “lb” (pounds).
1. To switch on the scale, step on the middle of the weighing surface.
2. Use the UNIT button on the back of the scale to set the desired unit of
measurement. Note the display.
Setting up the scale
1. Place the scale on an even, firm and dry surface. Do not place the scale on a carpet.
2. First, briefly step onto the middle of the weighing surface to calibrate the scale. As
soon as the display shows “0.0”, calibration is complete. This calibration must be
performed after each battery change.
