Remove the iso-strip
The battery is already inserted at delivery and furnished with an iso-strip to protect
it from discharging prematurely. In order to activate the scales, you must remove the
isostrip. The battery compartment is located on the underside of the device.
1. Slide the battery compartment cover all the way to the side and remove it.
2. Pull the iso-strip out.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.
Inserting/changing batterie
To use the scales, a type CR2032, 3V battery is required.
1. Slide the battery compartment cover all the way to the side and remove it.
2. Slide the battery against the contact spring under the large, angular retaining tab
and then push it downwards. The battery then snaps into the opposite retaining
collar such that the battery is firmly set in its holder. Pay attention to the correct
polarity (+/-). The plus pole (+) must point upwards.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.
Notes on changing the battery:
A change of batteries becomes necessary when “LO” appears on the
display, or when nothing at all is displayed.
Only use the type of battery that is specied in the “Technical Data”.
Always change all batteries at the same time.
Dispose of batteries in an environmentally appropriate way (see
“Disposal”)
Calibrate the scale, see „Setting the scale“.
Choosing the unit of measurement
Upon delivery, „kg“ (kilograms) is set as the standard unit of measure for weight and „°
C“ (degrees Celsius) is set as the standard unit of measure for temperature. However,
you can also switch to „lb“ (pounds) and „° F“ (degrees Fahrenheit).
1. Slide the battery compartment cover all the way to the side and remove it.
2. Press the small button in the corner. Pay attention to the display indicator.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.
