La mancanza di esercizio fisico e un'alimentazione sbagliata sono spesso all'origine di
queste malattie. Esiste un chiaro nesso causale tra l'obesità e la mancanza di esercizio
fisico.
Una parte essenziale del corpo umano è composta da acqua. L'acqua corporea è
distribuita in modo diverso in tutto il corpo. Il tessuto muscolare magro contiene circa il
75% di acqua, il sangue circa l'83%, il grasso corporeo circa il 25% e le ossa circa il 22%.
La massa corporea degli uomini è composta per circa il 60% da acqua.
Nelle donne, invece, questo valore ammonta a circa il 55% (a causa della maggiore
percentuale di grasso corporeo).
Circa due terzi della massa d'acqua corporea sono accumulati nelle cellule e pertanto si
parla di acqua intracellulare. L'altro terzo è acqua extracellulare.
