De voedingskabels worden gedimensioneerd aan de hand van het type en de waarde van de zekering. De benodigde zekeringwaarde wordt op zijn beurt zorgvuldig
gekozen aan de hand van de nominale stroom van de ketel.
Het toegestane stroomniveau door elektrische leidingen is afhankelijk van de omgevingstemperatuur, de doorsnede, lengte en isolatie van de geleiders, evenals van de
samenstelling, plaats en omgeving van de leidingen.
De onderstaande waarden dienen als indicatie voor installaties met een omgevingstemperatuur van 30 °C en een maximale lengte van 5 meter. In alle gevallen moet
de installatie ook aan de geldende plaatselijke normen voldoen.
