Downloading songs
DJ Twist & Burn does not download songs. This is referring to downloading songs through a
website or service such as Emusic.com, for example.
Tag
A tag contains textual information such as the artist, album, genre, year and title of the song.
(It is the non-audio part of a MP3 or WAV)
Close the session
This is a CD recording term. A session refers is a section of data on a CD. CDs can have
multiple sessions. For example a CD-Extra disc has 2 sessions. The first session is the music
and the second session has other stuff such as movies, extra artist content.
When the closes the session, it means that it is ending further writing to the session and is not
allowing for new sessions. This is important for compatibility with standard CD players.

Beats Per Minute also known as a tempo.
Harmonic Mixing
A song is transposed by matching the key, the perfect fourth, perfect fifth or relative minor or
major of the previous songs. This method results in +/- 2 semitone transpositions at most.
This method helps to smooth transitions between songs.
W.M.A.
WMA is Microsoft's audio file format, which stands for Windows Media Audio. Note that some
WMAs are protected by D.R.M. (Digital Rights Management) and cannot be accessed or
loaded by this software.

A
semi-tone is a musical interval. It is the smallest interval or distance between two adjacent keys in the diatonic
scale. For example, C# would be one semi-tone or half step above C. There are 12 semi-tones or half-steps in
the diatonic scale.
Time stretched
The original time or length of the song has been altered so that it plays back slower or faster, without affecting the
pitch!
