7.5.1.4 ROI (Region of Interest)
The ROI (Region of Interest) function can transmit particularly interesting image areas in higher
quality, with the rest of the image being transmitted in a lower quality. This makes it possible to
save bandwidth. This can achieve a particularly striking effect if the video stream is set to a low
quality.
Preview area: preview and configuration area
Drawing: You can use this to draw polygonal areas. The drawing mode is closed
by clicking this button again. This area is then transmitted at higher
quality.
Delete: You can use this to delete areas.
Stream: Select the video stream for ROI configuration. The configurations are
independent.
Fixed area/dynamic area: Fixed areas are used if the area that is of interest can be predicted
and does not change. Dynamic areas are linked to specific image
analysis functions (e.g. face detection) and are not pre-defined in
the image.
Area number: Max. number of areas: 4
ROI quality: The higher the level, the higher quality of the ROI area is.
Area name: Assign a name to an area here.
Face tracking: The ROI area is linked to detected face areas.
