To prevent fire and injuries, please note the following information:
• Mount the device at a dry location indoors.
• Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation.
• Do not place the unit where the temperature may be below 0°C or over 50°C.
• The unit is intended for indoor use only.
• Humidity may not exceed 90% (non-condensing).
• Make sure that no metal objects can be inserted into the speech dialler.
• Disconnect the power supply before carrying out any work on the dialler.
General information about the speech dialler:
An improper or dirty installation may lead to faulty signal interpretations and thus to
false alarms. Any costs incurred due to rescue missions such as the fire department
or police are to be paid by the operator of the system. You should therefore read these
instructions carefully and pay close attention to the correct installation of the lines and
components.
Please note that alarming by telephone can only occur if the called party can be
directly contacted by telephone. Observe the following:
• ensure that the alarm call number is not the number of a switched telephone
exchange (indirect forwarded calls are not permissible)
• note that mobile telephones are dependent on location and reception
quality to receive calls
• ensure that mobile telephone connections are not disconnected after a
certain number of rings or that a call is rerouted to a mailbox
• ensure that loud noise in the area does not prevent hearing the telephone
when it rings.
For security reasons we recommend that the speech dialler is targeted
to a 24-hour available emergency call centre.
