Description

IR hand-held transmitter which can

transmit a coded channel with 4096

di erent combinations where strict

authorization control is required.

Function

When the transmitter is activated, IR

signals are transmitted from the trans-

mitter to the IR receiver which is then

activated. If the receiver is installed

indoors the transmitter normally does

not need to be directed towards the

receiver. When used outdoors however,

and if the transmitter is far away from

the receiver, the transmitter has to be

turned in the direction of the receiver.

IR signals are obstructed by walls and

solid objects. The transmitter range

varies from 10 to 30 metres depending

on the light conditions.

Selecting the Code

The switch consists of 12 DIP switches

which can be "on" or "o ". The same

combination should be used for the re-

ceiver and the transmitter. In case the

receiver only has 10 switches, position

11 and 12 must be "on". (Applies to ol-

der receivers.)

Battery

The transmitter uses a 9V alkaline bat-

tery. To obtain maximum transmission

and to avoid leakage it is important to

use Alkaline batteries only. Be careful

when inserting the battery. It is im-

portant that the polarity is correct.
