In case of doubt please contact the
manufacturer or the vendor of the child
restraint.
CAUTION:
The safety of the baby seat is only guaran-
teed by the manufacturer when the seat is
used by the initial purchaser. It is therefore
not advisable to buy a second-hand seat.
WARNING:
The baby seat is only for use in car seats
which face the direction of travel.
Fold-down car seats must be  rmly clicked
into place.
If the baby seat is  tted to the passenger
seat then the passenger seat must be
pushed back as far as it will go.
The baby seat may not be used on car
seats which are  tted with an airbag. It
might be possible to disable the airbag
(ask your car dealer).
The backrest of the passenger seat must
be fully upright. If there is a head restraint
tted to the seat, it must be put into the
lowest position.
The baby seat must not be caught in the
car door or in fold-down seats; no heavy
objects may be placed on the baby seat.
Never hold your baby on your lap when
travelling in the car. The sheer force
released in an accident will prevent you
from holding on to your baby.
Never put the seat belt around yourself
and the baby.
No modi cations may be made to the
baby seat and the straps.
Make sure that the seat belt in the car is
not damaged and is fully functional.
All the straps designed to restrain the
baby in the seat must be tightened.
The straps holding the baby must be
taut. Make sure that these straps are not
twisted.
Never leave your baby in the baby seat
for too long. Although the baby seat is
extremely comfortable it is important for
your baby to have regular periods lying
on its stomach. This is in the interests of
healthy development.
When not in use, the baby seat should not
be left in the blazing sun, the residual heat
from which might later cause unnecessary
discomfort to your baby. Parts of the child
seat could get hot and burn your child.
Do not neglect to use the baby seat on
short journeys. These actually account for
the majority of accidents.
Never leave your child alone in the baby
seat in the car.
Set a good example and fasten your seat
belt at all times.
Never allow your baby to play with the
seat belt fastening.
Take short breaks on relatively long jour-
neys so that your baby has the opportuni-
ty to spend some time outside the vehicle
to recover from the strain of travelling.
Please read these instructions for use and
installation through carefully and follow
them strictly in the interests of your child’s
safety.
The safety of the baby seat can only be
guaranteed if used correctly.
The baby seat can be fastened with a
three-point emergency locking retractor
belt on the passenger seat or on the rear
seats insofar as this belt meets the require-
ments set out in ECE R16 or an equivalent
standard. We recommend putting the
baby seat on the rear seat.
The baby seat may not be fastened with
only the lap belt.
Even when unoccupied the baby seat
should always be secured with the seat
belts.
An unsecured seat may injure the passen-
gers in the event of an emergency stop or
an accident.
Babies have a natural urge to move and
should therefore be strapped into the
baby seat at all times, even when not in
the car.
Make sure that the seat does not get
caught in the door of the vehicle or dam-
aged by rotating car seats or by objects
placed on the baby seat (e.g. luggage), etc.
Do not make any modi cations to the
baby seat. This could adversely aff ect the
safety of the seat.
In an accident (even at low speed above
10 km/h) the child safety seat could suff er
damage which is not necessarily obvious.
In this case you must replace the child
seat. Please dispose of it properly.
Before you buy the baby seat we recom-
mend that you check whether it can be
installed properly.
Ensure that all items of luggage and
objects which could injure passengers
in the event of an accident or a sudden
application of the brakes are adequately
secured.
The instructions should be kept in the
pocket provided in the child car seat.
Never put the child seat with the child in
on a high surface, such as a table, work
surface, bed or shopping trolley. The seat
with the baby inside could fall off .
Important: The lap belt must  t closely
over the child’s groin for optimum protec-
tion in the event of an accident.
The child restraint system may not be
used without the fabric cover.
Since the fabric covers are an essential
part of the restraint system, they may only
be replaced by fabric covers recommend-
ed by the manufacturer.
The child restraint seat must be installed
according to the installation instructions.
Incorrect installation can be dangerous.
Important note: Do not use forward-fac-
ing child restraint seats for children under
the age of 15 months.
