1. Car seat
The following requirements must be met in order to t and use the carrycot in the car.
a. Fasten the cot on the back seat of the car only.
b. The carrycot may only be tted on seats which face the direction of travel.
c. There must be at least two 3-point seat belts.
d. The seat belts must comply with ECE R16 requirements (or a comparable standard).
2. Fitting the carrycot to the car seat
NB: Before proceeding with the attachment process, follow all the instructions in the directions for use
supplied with the “ABC Design Snooze” carrycot.
CAUTION: The backrest of the carrycot must always be set to its lowest
position for use in vehicles.
a. Push out the retaining bar to open the clip-on attachment on the carrycot.
b. Form a loop with the seat belt.
c. Feed the loop through the opening in the clip-on attachment from behind.
d. Push the retaining bar in through the inside of the loop.
NB: Fit the clip-on attachment to the belt above the buckle.
e. Position the carrycot in the centre of the back car seat. The two outer seat belts are used to secure the
carrycot in place.
f. If the car is tted with a third 3-point seat belt for the middle seat in the back, the carrycot can also be
secured at the side.
g. Pull the seat belts out and click them into their respective fastenings.
CAUTION: Make sure that the belts are not twisted.
h. Place the clip-on attachments on the pegs at the head end and the foot end of the carrycot.
i. Fit the clip-on attachment on the peg and pull it down until you hear it click into place. Make sure that the
clip-on attachment is tted correctly.
j. Tighten the seat belt strap, making sure that the carrycot is pressed rmly against the seat back.
CAUTION: Make sure that the seat belts are sufciently taut and that the
carrycot is rmly secured on the seat and against the back of the seat.
